In 2004, Invest in Denmark participated in 36 investment projects and created 429 jobs. This was accomplished in a year of global economic decline marked by decreased investment flows world-wide.

Copenhagen South/West is located next to the Central Business District. The main business sectors are distribution and administration. Many international companies have picked the area as location for their Scandinavian headquarters and distribution facilities due to the excellent and efficient infrastructure. Among these are Lyreco, Sony Nordic, L'Oreal, GlaxoSmithKline, DHL Worldwide Express, and UPS.


Copenhagen South/West is the perfect choice for any company with large transportation needs because of it's excellent infrastructure as the position is supported by the intersection of the two main motorways the E20 (east/west bound) and the E55/E47 (north/south bound).

Copenhagen South/West hosts a regional transport centre in Høje-Taastrup. The transport centre connects motorway, main roads, railway, S-train and bus routes. The major industrial harbours are within reach and Copenhagen International Airport and Roskilde Airport can be reached within 20 and 10 minutes, respectively. The transport centre is suitable for all transport-related business ranging from small to large companies within transportation and logistics and offers room for all services related to transportation requirements.

Some of the most prominent Danish businesses within distribution are found in this area including DFDS Transport, TNT Denmark and a large number of small companies.

The area along the circular motorway has traditionally attracted a wide range of manufacturing companies because the typical office and industrial rent levels are not as high as in the Central Business District and Copenhagen North.
